Prepare your USB cable to connect your iPhone to the computer. Plug your iPhone into the computer with the USB.

Step 1. Launch iTunes/Finder on your computer.

Step 2. Put the iPhone in Recovery mode.

For iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus: Turn off your iPhone. Connect it to the computer. Press and hold the top and volume down buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery mode screen.

iPhone 6s or earlier: Turn off your iPhone. Connect it to the computer. Press and hold both the Home and the top buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery mode screen.

Step 3. Confirm and restore it.

On Finder, also click the Restore iPhone option.

On iTunes, choose Restore and Update then, choose Restore.

Step 4. Wait for the iTunes/Finder to download the latest iOS versions and reset your iPhone to factory settings.

Notice: If you have disabled Find My iPhone, you can directly restore it to factory settings with iTunes/Finder. If you have enabled Find My, reset it with the Part 2 method.

Part 2: Reset Your iPhone with SD iPhone Passcode Unlocker.

Preparation: Free download and install the program on your computer.

 Step 1. Launch SD iPhone Passcode Unlocker. Then Unlock the Screen Passcode via the “Wipe Passcode” Section. Hit it.

Step 2. Click Start and plug in your iPhone to the PC or Mac computer using your matched cable.

First. Disconnect it and put your iPhone in recovery mode.

For iPhone 8 or later, including iPhone 14, and iPhone 15: Turn off your iPhone. Connect it to the computer. Press and quickly release the volume up button. Immediately press and quickly release the volume down button. Then, press and hold the side button until you see the recovery mode screen.

For iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus: Turn off your iPhone. Connect it to the computer. Press and hold the top and volume down buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery mode screen.

iPhone 6s or earlier: Turn off your iPhone. Connect it to the computer. Press and hold both the Home and the top buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery mode screen.

Step 3. Download firmware packages.

When the screen shows your iPhone information, click Next and Click Download on the next screen. The firmware package downloading starts with a progress bar. Wait for the progress bar to go to 100%.  Still waiting for a few minutes, the software will automatically verify the packages.

Step 4. Click Unlock.

When the verifying process is finished, click Unlock on the screen. Confirm on the pop-up window by entering “0000”.

You’re done. And the screen says “Wiped Passcode Successfully”. Simultaneously, your iPhone bursts into life with the “Hello” screen.
