For your iPad models with Face ID, such as iPad Pro 12.9-inch, 11-inch generations.

Press and hold the Top button and either volume button until the power off slider appears. Turn off your iPad. Then connect your iPad to your computer while holding the Top button. Keep holding the Top button until you see the Recovery Mode screen.

For iPad models with Home Button,such as iPad, iPad mini, iPad air with the home button.

Press and hold the Top button until the power off slider appears. Drag the slider to turn off your iPad. Then connect your iPad to your computer while holding the Home button. Keep holding the Home button until you see the Recovery Mode screen.

For iPhone 8 or Later:

Such as iPhone 8/8 Plus, X, XR, XS, Xs Max or iPhone 11/11 Pro (Max), iPhone 12(mini), 12 Pro (Max).

Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the Recovery Mode screen.
