How to Get your iPhone Out of iPhone Unavailable Mode, iOS 17/18/26 Solutions

Solution 1. Unlock the iPhone with the Forgot Passcode/Erase iPhone Option

On the iOS 17/18/26 or later, you’ll see the Forgot Passcode option. Instead, you’ll get the Erase iPhone option on the iOS versions between the iOS 15.2 and iOS 16.

The steps are simple provided you have any one of the options.

Step 1. Tap the Forgot Passcode/Erase iPhone option.

Enter more failed passcode attempts to initiate the Forgot Passcode/Erase iPhone buttons if there is no option on the screen. However, you can’t skip the intervals to wait during the “iPhone Unavailable try again in Timer”. You can only type your passcode if the unlocking screen is appearing.

The message should hint you the Apple ID with your email. Enter the Apple ID passcode associated with the Apple ID in use.

When your correct passcode is entered, the iPhone should start erase itself.

Step 3. Set up your iPhone.

When the erasing process is complete, you should set up your iPhone, during the setup process, if you come across the “Enter the passcode for other iPhone”, you can enter or skip the page.

Solution 2. Reset Your Unavailable iPhone via the Third-party Software

Step 4. Download firmware package.

The time it takes depends on your internet speed, wait for a while.

If the download takes more than 15 minutes, your iPhone should exit the recovery mode. Make sure to put it in recovery mode again before unlocking it.

Step 1. Open the iCloud Find My official Page on any of your browsers.

Go to the URL address iCloud Find My. No matter you have a mobile phone, notebook, or desktop computer, or a tablet, you can copy or find the iCloud Find My address to your browser and open the page.

Step 2. Sign in with your Apple ID credentials.

Wait for a few moments, you will get your iPhone erased completely and later you can set it up when you see the welcome screen.

If you won’t have the prerequisites to unlock your iPhone wirelessly, you can unlock it with a computer.

Solution 4. Restore your unavailable iPhone on your Finder/iTunes.

When you have the Finder/iTunes on a Mac computer, or have the iTunes on your computer, either PC or Mac. You can use the Apple Apps to restore the unavailable iPhones.

Step 1. Update the iTunes/Finder to the latest version.

Make sure you install the iTunes or Finder. Before unlocking your devices, update the app first.

Step 2. Connect your iPhone to the computer with the cable.

Step 3. Turn off the iPhone.

Step 4. Press the side button while connecting it to your computer until you see the recovery mode screen.

Step 5. When it prompts Restore or Update. Select Restore.

Wait until you see the iPhone reopens with the welcome screen.
