How long does iPhone Unavailable last?

On iOS 16 or later, iPhone Unavailable can last up to 8 hours.

From iOS 15 to before iOS 16, iPhone Unavailable can last up to 1 hour.

Step 3. Download the firmware and wait.

Launch Finder or iTunes.
