Apple ID Sign Out is Not Available due to Restrictions - Here's the Fix
Can't you sign out of your Apple ID on the iPhone, iPad, or iPod due to Restrictions, saying "Sign out is not available due to restrictions"?
Occasionally, you may want to switch the account on your iPhone or iPad or transfer the device to others. However, when you attempt to sign out of your Apple ID on the iOS device, you might come across an obstacle—a greyed-out "Sign Out" option on the iCloud account screen. This frustrating situation often presents an error message: "Sign out is not available due to restrictions." This issue can occur across iOS versions 13, 14, 15, and even the latest iOS 16, iOS 17.
What should you do to fix the 'Sign out is not available due to restrictions' issue, and enable the Sign-out option to successfully log out? Let's explore the refined solutions available in this article.
What Does "Sign out is not available due to restrictions" Mean and Why?
"Sign Out is Not Available due to Restrictions" is a message that can appear on your iPhone or iPad when you try to sign out of Apple ID, but the device is preventing you from doing so with the greyed-out Sign Out option. It can appear on iOS 13, iOS 14, iOS 15, and iOS 16 or later.

Why Can't I Sign Out of My Apple ID Due to Restrictions on iPhone or iPad?
Because you have turned on the Screen Time and locked the feature with a screen time password, which will stop you from signing out of Apple ID. Apple has designed the rule that a restricted account with a screen time passcode won't sign out of the Apple ID for security reasons.
Take heart, you can fix the problem by disabling the screen time(including password) completely. Then all the restrictions should be turned off, and you can sign out of your Apple ID showing no error message.
Method 1: Turn Off Screen Time on Your Personal iPhone or iPad Manually.
Apple's screen time aims to address the problems of smartphone addiction. It makes you aware of the amount of time you are spending on your devices and what you are doing on them. Most people use this function to manage their own digital time or apply parental controls.
